Relief Fund for Seychelles „7th December Disaster Fund“
12.12.202310.12.2023 - In line with the announcement made by Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan following the disasters caused by heavy rains, flooding and landslide as well as the massive explosion in the Providence industrial area, a special relief fund named the „7th December Disaster Fund“ has been created for donors wishing to make financial contributions to repair the damage and rebuild the regions.

New Czech Ambassador Miroslav Kosek on his first official visit to the Seychelles
05.10.202305.10.2023 - The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which also has jurisdiction over the Seychelles, is now headed by Mr. Miroslav Kosek. The credentials letters presented by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the President of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, at a ceremony held on 3 October at State House in the capital city of Victoria.
During his visit, the new Czech Ambassador also met with the Principal Secretary for the Foreign Affairs Department of the Republic of Seychelles, Ms. Vivianne Fock Tave, with whom he negotiated a General Cooperation Agreement between the Czech Republic and Seychelles. This should be an important step towards strengthening and deepening relations between the two countries and further expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, education, culture and technology. Among the topics discussed were new and existing collaborations in health, law and mutual legal assistance or higher education.
H.E. Georges Tirant is the new Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles to France
26.09.202325.09.2023 - The Embassy of the Republic of Seychelles in Paris, which also has jurisdiction over the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Prague, is now headed by H.E. Georges Tirant. He succeeded in this prestigious post Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles.
The credentials were presented by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Georges Tirant, to French President Emmanuel Macron during a ceremony held at the Elysee Palace on 22 September 2023. In his speech, Mr. Tirant pledged to further strengthen diplomatic relations, economic cooperation and friendly ties between the two countries during his term of office.
Modern touch screens will support learning in Grand Anse Praslin schools
14.06.202314.06.2023 - The intervention of Seychelles' Honorary Consul Jana Stefankova and the financial support of Mr and Mrs Machacek has enabled the donation of two interactive touch screens to the Grand Anse Praslin primary and secondary schools, which will greatly enhance the learning and teaching experience.
Jana Stefankova was thus the first Seychelles Honorary Consul to fulfil her commitment to the „District Adoption Programme“, which was introduced during last year's International Conference of Seychelles Honorary Consuls. A big thank you to the Machacek family who funded the purchase of the two interactive screens. Together with Jana Stefankova, they also watched the online broadcast of the ceremony in the presence of representatives of the Seychelles government, the head teachers of both schools, teachers, pupils and students, who prepared a rich accompanying programme for the guests.

Return to normal travel arrangements to the Seychelles
01.12.202201.12.2022 - With effect from 1 December 2022, all entry measures relating to the COVID-19 pandemic have been cancelled. Now every non-citizen visitor to Seychelles must complete a digital Travel Authorization Form before traveling to Seychelles. This is mandatory under the Immigration Act. The digital form requires basic travel and stay information - flight itinerary, valid passport (valid for at least 3 months after return from Seychelles), selfie, proof of accommodation for the duration of stay, contact details and travel insurance (must cover all expenses related to any COVID-19).

International Conference of Seychelles Honorary Consuls
01.11.202201.11.2022 - From 25 to 28 October, Mrs. Jana Štefánková participated in the conference of Seychelles Honorary Consuls from all over the world, which is held every two years by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Seychelles on the main island of Mahé. The conference on the theme "Harnessing Opportunities through Diplomatic Relations" was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, who thanked all the Honorary Consuls for their work and efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, new projects to support and promote Seychelles were presented, including the "Adopting a District" programme, which aims to strengthen cooperation between Consuls and District Administrators to better understand the challenges and priorities of the local community so that they can bring concrete contribution and support.
Current Conditions of Entry into Seychelles valid from 15.03. 2022
15.03.202215.03.2022 - With effect from 15 March 2022, the conditions of entry into the Seychelles are simplified. Fully vaccinated visitors (adults 3 doses of vaccine, children 12 to 18 years of age 2 doses of vaccine) and visitors who had COVID-19 disease 2 to 12 weeks before the travel no longer need to undergo a PCR test before departure to Seychelles (unless required by the airline). This obligation continues to apply only to unvaccinated persons who must show a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours before departure) or an antigen test (not older than 24 hours before departure). Completing the Health Travel Authorization online entry form available at https://seychelles.govtas.com remains valid and is required of all visitors without exception (vaccinated as well as unvaccinated). In the Seychelles, it is necessary to comply with existing health measures - wear face masks, keep distances, avoid crowded areas, often wash your hands, etc.
